is expanding their marketing department is looking to hire an experienced B2B Content Marketing Manager.  This is a new position for the company as we are in start-up/growth mode for North America and worldwide. In this position, this individual will work directly with the sales and marketing teams in keeping us on the forefront of the grocery and technology industries with content and helping us establish thought leadership and a national/global presence.

This person has a passion for content, lives on social media, loves writing articles/blogging, has in depth knowledge of email marketing strategies and SEO tactics. You will also have experience with planning content strategies, managing these channel and our company content calendar, and tools involved with these initiatives.


  • Design and implement social media strategy –to align with’s business goals
  • Help define and manage content calendar (blogging, social media, email)
  • Help determine subjects worthy of writing blogs, white papers and case studies
  • Help define email and drip campaigns (currently utilizing Hubspot) based on emails and form fills we receive from website and other campaigns
  • Assist with driving visual strategy for all content, social channels and social advertising
  • Help define short and long term social & content goals
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Set specific content objectives and report on ROI (views, clicks, shares, etc)
  • Determine advertising opportunities for content (social, Google, remarketing, paid placement)
  • Perform research on current trends, competitors and audience/persona preferences
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, business development and customer service to identify opportunities for promotion and ensure brand consistency
  • Helps prep for tradeshows with content, social, white papers and blogs to support our shows
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, etc)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions, surveys, contests, and focus groups
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, SEO, design tools and applications
  • Collaborate with agencies, vendors and partners
  • Utilize our Hubspot Marketing Suite and CRM as needed for email campaigns and marketing initiatives
  • Consults on overall marketing budget for these areas

Required Experience & Skills

  • Must have 5 years proven work experience as a social media and content marketing manager (examples are a must)
  • Hands on experience in content management – (web, social, blogs, case studies, SEO, email)
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Self Motivated, can operate with little supervision and manage multiple projects at once
  • Has experience working against aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to deliver creative and though provoking content (text, image, and video)
  • Working Knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, illustrator, etc)
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels (social, email, SEO, SEM, Display, remarketing)
  • Familiarity with good web design (banner ads, graphics, imagery integration)
  • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
  • BS degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Working knowledge of Hubspot, B2B email marketing and Sprout are a definite plus
  • Solid understanding of WordPress CMS, SEO tactics, keyword research & Google Analytics are a plus
  • Previous experience with startup and/or working for a technology-based company are a plus
  • Grand Rapids or NY Area preferred, with remote work a possibility for the right candidate (in the Eastern or Central time zones)
